New website for Collect Home

Welcome to the inaugural Collect Home blog. While the crew at Collect Home have many ‘blogs’ churning around in our heads, it is a feeling of excitement to finally put it all down in black and white.

We’re often asked what inspirations set us up for each season and what is CH showing at the moment?  I guess we’d both agree that building a new seasons collection is one of the many aspects we love about Collect Home and inspiration can come from our surroundings, environment, and travel – take for example on our daily pilgrimage to the European for morning coffee, tons of magazines such as Vogue Living, Inside Out, Bella, Cote Sud, H&G (UK), Living Etc and a spattering of Elle Décor.  Travel must be on top of the list for inspiration and we always keep our bags packed for the last minute dash to a fair – such a sad lifestyle really and truly.

Fashion trends, colour and texture are all significant and powerful players in CHs’ seasonal ranges and put simply in the new 2012 collections the palette is rich, sparkly, romantic and full of gem colours such as turquoise, amethyst, ruby & pink diamond.   An insight into Winter 2012 palettes were selected many months ago with a nod to the Paris and New York Fashion Week,  overseas store windows and increasingly inspiration from flowers, especially old garden roses and wildflowers.
